A weekend to celebrate pure firey African talent at the BASSLINE FEST; an annual Urban Music Festival in its 14th year.
We’ll be joining some of Africa and indeed, the World’s treasured talent in music, at the BASSLINE FEST running over 3 days, from 25th to 27th May 2018 at the historically rich Constitution Hill, in Johannesburg with Bassline Jozi and YOU!
The festival which falls on the Africa Day weekend will see every artist partaking in a celebration that unites and pays homage to our continent, with a particular focus this year, to the legacy of the late Nelson Mandela.
Headlining the 2018 edition of the BASSLINE FEST is world-renowned and Malian born Afro-Pop legend, Salif Keita alongside ever vibrant, elegant and talented Yemi Alade, hailing from Nigeria.
Alade and Keita, have been selected as ambassadors from Africa to celebrate Madiba’s legacy and will perform in an exclusively crafted performance to pay tribute through their songs, a duet and a further composition entitled “Africa’s Tribute To Mandela”.
BASSLINE FEST is known for always hosting a variety of artists every year and 2018 will be no different. With new names being added till the festival day is upon us, here is a confirmed list of performers to be expected at this year’s edition of the BASSLINE FEST;

The Fest will feature a dialogue on Friday 25th May, with the signature Africa Day concert happening on the Saturday 26th May, which will be a live Television broadcast on SABC2 and host the hottest acts in Africa. Sunday 27th May will be a laid-back day of Jazz and World music.
