Fashion and music work in tandem and many of the continent’s designs and collections both home and in the diaspora, are inspired by the sounds of the African soil.
Over this past weekend, we attended the African Fashion International Fashion Week (AFIFW) that lasted from the 10th till the 12th of October at the Sandton Convention Center in Johannesburg.

The past weekend at the 24th South African Music Awards simply called the SAMAs, was all glitz and glamour for the stars, the politicians and other key players in the industry which would include us; ‘the media’.

One full day to celebrate pure firey African talent at the BASSLINE FEST; an annual Urban Music Festival in its 14th year.
We’ll be joining some of Africa’s and indeed, the World’s treasured talent in music, at the BASSLINE FEST, which will now be taking place only on the 26th May 2018 at the historically rich Constitution Hill, in Johannesburg with Bassline Jozi and YOU!
The festival which falls on the Africa Day weekend will see every artist partaking in a celebration that unites and pays homage to our continent, with a particular focus this year, to the legacy of the late Nelson Mandela.
